Terms and Conditions of Stay at Heart of Landour

Thank you for choosing Heart of Landour for your stay. The following terms and conditions apply to all bookings made via our website, email, or telephone. Please read them carefully as they contain important information about your stay with us. If you have any questions or need further clarification, please do not hesitate to contact us, and we will be happy to assist you.

1. Completion of Booking

  • Your booking will be considered complete and confirmed once you receive a confirmation number from the Reservations Department. At this point, a legally binding contract will be formed between you and Light of Landour, referred to in these terms as “we” “us” or “Heart of landour”.
  • Guests under the age of 18 must be accompanied by adults during their stay. We reserve the right to refuse entry to unaccompanied guests under the age of 18.

2. Deposit for Accommodation

  • All room rates are quoted in Indian Rupees (INR), and payment is accepted only in Indian Rupees.
  • A prepayment is required to secure your booking, and your reservation will be confirmed only after we receive the payment.
  • For bookings made directly with the Hotel or through the website, a flexible payment option is available, and the prepayment amount will be advised based on the season or package chosen.
  • For bookings made through third-party agents or sources other than specified above, full payment is required.
  • A transactional fee will be levied on all payments made through Credit Card / Debit Card and UPI transfers, charged by the bank (usually between 0.2% – 3.5%, depending on the mode of payment used).

Cancellations Policy

3. Changes and Cancellations

  • 100 percent cancellation charges will be levied if cancelled after checkin date or on No show.
  • 100 percent cancellation charges will be levied if cancelled in between 364 days before checkin date and before on checkin date.
  • Free Cancellation if cancelled in between booking date and 364 days before checkin date.

4. Check-in & Check-out

  • Check-in time is from 14:00 hrs until 22:00 hrs on the day of arrival. Guests arriving after 22:00 hrs are requested to inform the Hotel in advance.
  • Rooms must be vacated by 11:00 hrs on the day of check-out, unless prior arrangements have been made.
  • Guests may be required to provide photo ID upon check-in for identity confirmation.

5. Charges and GST

  • All prices are quoted in Indian Rupee (INR) and are exclusive of the applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) charges at the time of booking.
  • Any additional charges incurred during your stay, such as food and beverage expenses or room charges, must be settled upon check-out.

6. House Rules

  • The images of rooms and facilities on our website are for illustrative purposes only, and specific accommodations may vary slightly.
  • Heart of Landour is a non-smoking establishment, and guests are requested to respect this policy.
  • In the event of any accidents or injuries on the premises, guests must report the incident to a member of the Hotel staff within 24 hours.
  • Improper, violent, abusive behavior, or any illegal conduct by guests is strictly prohibited. 6.5 Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the room(s) during their stay and may be charged accordingly.

7. Guest Privacy

  • Heart of Landour has a strict guest privacy policy, and guests confidentiality will be respected.

8. Restaurant/Spa Reservations

  • If you wish to amend or cancel a reservation for restaurant or spa services, please inform us at least 48 hours before arrival.

9. Activities

  • All activities booked individually or as part of a package are conducted by outsourced third-party agencies.
  • Guests are required to review the description of any activity and meet any specific requirements specified by the third-party agency.
  • Heart of Landour acts as a booking agent, and the Supplier is the sole issuer of the services.

10. Limitation of Liability

  • Heart of Landour will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury, or inconvenience arising from events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of terrorism, civil disturbances, power outages, or disruptions of services by third-party providers.
  • We shall not be held responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings or valuables of guests during their stay at Heart of Landour.
  • In no event shall Heart of Landour be liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising out of or in connection with your stay, including but not limited to loss of revenue, profits, or business opportunities.
  • Our total liability, regardless of the cause of action, shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for your booking.

11. Indemnification

  • You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Heart of Landour, its directors, employees, and agents, from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys fees, arising out of or in connection with your stay or any breach of these Terms and Conditions.

12. Intellectual Property

  • All intellectual property rights, including copyrights, trademarks, and logos, used or displayed on our website and throughout Heart of Landour, are the property of their respective owners.
  • You may not use, reproduce, or distribute any content from our website or any materials found at Heart of Landour without prior written permission from the rightful owner.

13. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
  • Any dispute arising under or in connection with these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of India.

14. Severability

  • If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is deemed invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15. Entire Agreement

  • These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Heart of Landour regarding your stay and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether oral, written, or electronic, between you and us.

16. Changes to the Terms and Conditions

  • Heart of Landour reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • Any changes to these Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.
